1. Who these terms are with
These terms apply when you create an Una Maas account, join a community, book an event or use the Una Maas website and services. The service is operated by [Legal entity name], trading as Una Maas, registered at [registered address], Belgium, company number [KBO/BCE number], VAT [BE VAT number].
By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and attend Una Maas events. You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently, abusively or in breach of these terms.
3. Communities and events
Una Maas hosts and supports dinners and community experiences in Brussels. Some communities are open; others are invitation-only. Community owners and event organisers may manage their events, including their description, capacity, venue and booking conditions.
Event pages show the relevant date, time, city, price, what the price includes and any other information provided by the organiser. We try to keep this information accurate, but details may change for operational reasons.
4. Bookings and waitlists
A free booking is confirmed when the app shows Booked. A paid booking is confirmed only after Stripe confirms that payment has succeeded. A pending payment holds a place temporarily but is not a confirmed booking.
When an event is full, you may join the waitlist. Joining a waitlist does not create a charge. If a place becomes available, we may contact you or move your booking to Booked, depending on the event’s process.
Community owners and admins, and the event host, may book their own community event without paying. This does not remove any capacity limit.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros and include applicable VAT unless the event page says otherwise. The price description explains what is included. Payment is processed by Stripe on a hosted Checkout page; we never receive your full card details.
You are responsible for any payment method charges or currency conversion fees charged by your bank. We may cancel a booking if a payment is reversed, fails or is subject to a fraud check.
6. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel a booking from My evenings in the app. Our Refund Policy explains when a refund is available. If Una Maas or the organiser cancels an event, paid bookings are refunded in full. Refunds are sent to the original payment method through Stripe and may take several business days to appear.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
7. Event changes and organiser cancellations
Events may need to change venue, time or other details. We will make reasonable efforts to inform booked guests. If an event is cancelled or materially changed and you cannot attend, you may cancel and receive a refund in line with the Refund Policy.
8. Conduct and safety
Una Maas is built around respectful, friendly evenings. You agree not to harass, threaten, discriminate against or harm other guests, staff or venues; not to record or publish other guests without their consent; and to follow venue rules and applicable law.
Please tell the organiser about allergies, accessibility needs or other important requirements before the event. Alcohol is served only in accordance with Belgian law; venues may ask for proof of age.
We may remove a guest from an event or close an account for serious or repeated misconduct. Safety concerns can be sent to hello@unamaas.co.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you upload. You give Una Maas permission to host, resize, display and share that content as needed to operate the service and the event you joined. Do not upload content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes someone else’s rights.
Community and event photos may be visible to members of the relevant community. Profile photos may be visible to other members.
10. Our responsibility
We provide the platform and organise or support events with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent venues, restaurants, partners or other guests. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian or EU law, including liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.
Events may involve food, alcohol and social interaction with people you have not met before. You attend at your own discretion and should take reasonable care of your personal belongings and safety.
11. Intellectual property
The Una Maas name, logo, website, design and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify or use them commercially without our written permission, except as allowed by law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect other guests or the service. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence where mandatory law allows. Otherwise, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Brussels, Belgium.
